Citrusdal Toerisme- bied weer ‘n heerlike naweek aan vir buitelugentoesiaste – dit is vir eienaars van veldvoertuie, 2x4’s èn 4x4’s sowel as vir vierwiel- en tweewielmotorfietse. Die naweek is in Oktober, ‘n ongelooflike mooi tyd om ons vars lug en natuurskoon te kom geniet!

Daar word gefokus op dit wat vir die buitelugentoesias aanloklik is – twee sorgvrye dae in pragtige natuurskoon, ontspanne veldry, moeilike uitdagings op die roetes sowel as ‘n heerlike kuier-atmosfeer saam met entoesiaste wat dieselfde belangstelling deel.

Die boerdery gemeenskap stel jaarliks goedgunstiglik 7 privaatroetes oop slegs vir hierdie naweek. Elkeen van hierdie roetes bied iets unieks en wissel in moeilikheidsgraad. Klem word daarop gelê om alle buitelugliefhebbers te akkommodeer – persone wat daarvan hou om hul en hul voertuie se vermoëns te toets, sowel as vir diè met 2x4’s en sagte 4x4’s en vir diè wat net ‘n skilderagtige roete wil ry.

Die onderskeie roete eienaars wat die deelnemers op al die roetes vergesel, verskaf raad oor hoe die roete gery moet word en dra interessante inligting oor aangaande die omgewing. Op sommige roetes word gefokus op o.a. landbou en inheemse plantegroei.

Op Saterdag 2 Oktober word ‘n “Funride” vir tweewiel- en vierwielmotorfietse aangebied. Die Citrusdal Quad roete loop deur geurige sitrusboorde, oor bergstrome en tussen sandsteen rotsformasies – ‘n heerlike gesinsuitstappie!

Citrusdal 2x4x4 weekend

Citrusdal Tourism is offering another great weekend for outdoor enthusiasts – this will be for owners of 2x4’s, 4x4’s, quad bikes and motorbikes.

The weekend will be in October, an unbelievably lovely time to come and enjoy our fresh air and natural beauty!

The focus will be on what will attract the outdoor enthusiast – two carefree days in beautiful surroundings, relaxing drives, difficult challenges on the routes, and a hospitable atmosphere with enthusiasts who have the same interests.

The farming community provides 7 private routes annually, which are open only for this weekend. Each route offers something unique and varies in degree of difficulty. The emphasis is to accommodate all outdoor lovers – people who want to test themselves and their vehicles, as well as those with 2x4’ and 4x4 and also for those who just want to drive the scenic routes.

The owners of the different routes will accompany the participants en route. They will give directions on how the route should be tackled and will give interesting information regarding the area. Some of the routes will focus on amongst others the agriculture and indigenous fauna and flora.

On Saturday 2 October we offer a “Fun ride” for motor bikes and quad bikes. The Citrusdal Quad Route takes you through fragrant citrus orchards, over mountain streams and between sandstone rock formations – a great family outing!
